About

Great to meet you!

Mylene T. Alberto, PMHNP-BC
Mylene T. Alberto, PMHNP-BC Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Choosing a behavioral health provider is personal. You want someone who listens carefully, takes the time to understand the whole picture, and treats you as a partner in your own care. As a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I offer medication management and supportive psychotherapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, life transitions, and the everyday weight of stress.

I bring over 25 years of experience in mental health care to this work. I earned my nursing degree from Seton Hall University and my master's in Advanced Practice Nursing from New York University, where I was recognized as a Distinguished Student. My clinical training includes an internship at Bellevue Hospital and extensive experience across inpatient, outpatient, and consultation-liaison psychiatry.

Throughout my career, I have worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in private practice, a Clinical Nurse Educator at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, a nurse manager of an inpatient psychiatric unit for 4 years, and a staff nurse for 14 years. I have also led programs to improve patient care and developed stress management training for healthcare professionals.

My approach blends evidence-based prescribing with real conversation. We talk about how you are sleeping, working, and relating, adjusting the plan as your life changes. Solo practice means you see me every visit, no rotating providers or rushed handoffs. Sessions are unhurried, and the plan we build is one I personally know inside and out. Whether you are starting medication for the first time or refining a plan, my goal is care that fits the person in front of me. You don't have to carry it alone. Please reach out to connect.
